Jonquil Koddo

Jonquil Koddo

Lead Soprano

Jonquil Koddo has been a member of the St. Martin's family for many years, and she first joined the choir back in the days of choir robes and pews.

Jonquil began her classical voice training in 2001, and has been involved in local competitions such as the Calgary Kiwanis Festival and NATS (national association for teachers of singing). In the Calgary Operas' 2006/07 seasons, Jonquil joined the chorus for the productions of 'Turandot' and 'Carmen'. She was a featured soloist with the Calgary Bach Festival Society this past December, and attended the University of Manitoba's school of music in '07-'08. Jonquil played the role of 'Donna Bartola' in the U of M's school tour of 'the Barber of Seville', and the role of 'Mrs. Grose' from Benjamin Britain's ' Turn of the Screw' in the school's winter showcase.

Jonquil plans to continue her training in Calgary, and looks forward to new challenges in the coming year.
