What is Spirituality?
Spirituality is all of who we are, connected with all of who God is, all the time, everywhere. Spirituality encompasses the wholeness of being human with the wholeness of connection to the divine. We express this spirituality in many ways, including being connected to a community of other people on a journey of discovery about what it means to be fully human. The deepest spiritual questions ask about the meaning of life in general, and the meaning *my* life, in this time and place.
God meets us where we are in this journey and seeks to guide, comfort and challenge us to explore more deeply. Having a community of fellow pilgrims on this journey of discovery is one of the key ways this occurs. St. Martin's seeks to live into this calling as a community of faith that supports the individual journeys of each member and reaches out beyond the borders of community to make a positive impact on the world. This is the true meaning of spirituality... finding peace in oneself and working for peace in the world. It begins here and it begins now.
